Arsenal has reportedly dismissed the notion of facilitating a loan arrangement for Aaron Ramsdale, who has surfaced as a potential target for Newcastle United, as indicated by information from The Athletic. Although Ramsdale extended his contract with Arsenal in the latter part of the previous season, he has relinquished his status as the primary goalkeeper at the Emirates.
Despite some inconsistent performances by David Raya, he has taken over as Arsenal’s number one, with Ramsdale featuring in just one Premier League game since October. Acknowledging the necessity for consistent playing time to secure his spot in the England squad, Ramsdale has been contemplating a potential loan move, with Newcastle expressing interest.
However, reports suggest that Arsenal is uninterested in approving a loan deal for Ramsdale in the January transfer window, particularly to a fellow Premier League competitor. The likelihood of a move in January hinges on a substantial financial offer from a club, as Arsenal seems inclined to retain Ramsdale until the conclusion of the season before making decisions about his future.
