After a thrilling victory over Luton Town, Mikel Arteta delivered unfortunate news about Takehiro Tomiyasu’s injury. Despite Arsenal’s dramatic win at Kenilworth Road with Declan Rice’s last-minute header, the joy was dampened by Arteta’s confirmation of Tomiyasu’s absence.
Takehiro Tomiyasu, who impressively filled in for the injured Ben White, has stood out as one of Arsenal’s top performers recently. Despite White’s return to fitness, Tomiyasu’s stellar displays earned him a consistent spot in the starting lineup.
Regrettably, Tomiyasu sustained a calf injury during the win over Wolves last weekend, initially giving hope that it was a precautionary substitution. However, scans revealed significant damage, leading to an extended period on the sidelines.
