Arsenal supporters are on edge as they await news on Bukayo Saka’s fitness ahead of a pivotal Premier League showdown against Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.
Saka, a key figure in the Gunners’ recent successes, was notably absent from the squad during their recent 2-0 triumph over Luton Town on Wednesday.
Manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that the outcome of Friday’s training session will determine whether Saka will be available for selection. “We will know with our training session in a few hours,” Arteta stated during his press conference on Friday morning. “We will know whether he is fit or not.”
Acknowledging concerns surrounding Saka potentially succumbing to fatigue as the season approaches its climax, Arteta offered reassurance regarding the young winger’s resilience. He highlighted Saka’s fortitude, determination, and eagerness to contribute on the field. “I’m super positive, I think he’s going to fly and be so decisive,” Arteta expressed. “Because he’s so strong, and how much he wants it. When you talk to him and how excited he is about what is coming, he wants to be there.

He’s getting better and better and it’s normal to have little niggles. You have kicks and he’s gone through a lot of that in the last two or three years and now look at the way he’s performing.”
With Arsenal currently enjoying a 10-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League, securing a victory against Brighton is imperative to sustain their pursuit of the title, particularly as rivals Liverpool and Manchester City have both accrued maximum points this week.
