Manchester United has omitted Marcus Rashford and captain Bruno Fernandes from their squad to play against Arsenal in their last home game of the season.
While the hosts are vying for a spot in Europe, the visitors are still contending for the Premier League title and could surpass Manchester City with a victory.
Although Erik ten Hag suggested Rashford and Fernandes might return after training with the first team, neither made the matchday squad.
Instead, United will deploy Sofyan Amrabat, Kobbie Mainoo, and Scott McTominay in midfield, while Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo, and Rasmus Hojlund will lead the attack.
A makeshift defense of Diogo Dalot, Casemiro, Jonny Evans, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will shield goalkeeper Andre Onana.
In contrast, Arsenal has maintained their lineup unchanged.
Despite being favored, Arsenal has only won once at Old Trafford in the Premier League since 2007, with that solitary victory occurring behind closed doors in the 2020/21 season.
United emerged victorious in last season’s fixture, winning 3-1 courtesy of a debut goal from Antony and two strikes from Rashford.
