BREAKING NEWS: Manchester United has officially confirmed the signing of Michael Olise on a four-year contract. The highly-rated winger joins from Crystal Palace, significantly boosting Man United’s attacking options. Fans eagerly anticipate Olise’s impact as he begins his new chapter at Old Trafford.

Arsenal are looking to acquire Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, currently negotiating over his release clause.

Senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke, on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, disclosed that Leipzig is trying to eliminate the release clause in Sesko’s contract, complicating the deal. The 21-year-old’s release clause is said to be around £42.5 million.

Mikel Arteta aims to bolster Arsenal’s attacking options alongside Kai Havertz for the upcoming season, with Sesko as his top target.

Viktor Gyokeres, 25, has also caught Arsenal’s eye, but Sporting CP’s high asking price may be a hindrance.

Football Insider initially reported on May 23 that Arsenal intended to finalize Sesko’s transfer by the end of June, before his release clause expires.

Sesko joined RB Leipzig in a £20 million transfer from RB Salzburg in 2023. He impressed in his debut season, scoring 18 goals in 42 appearances, attracting interest from several clubs.

He scored 14 goals in the Bundesliga across 31 appearances and netted 11 times in 28 matches for Slovenia.

Despite a slow start, scoring just twice in his first 15 league games for Leipzig, Sesko’s form surged towards the season’s end.

He scored in each of his last seven games and contributed a goal or an assist in all but three of Leipzig’s final 16 Bundesliga matches.

This strong finish to the season has caught the attention of Arteta and Arsenal, along with other European clubs. The Gunners are now determined to sign him.

Arteta’s team has faced notable struggles in attack, despite Havertz’s late-season performance. Sesko is seen as the ideal solution to address Arsenal’s striker issues.
