BREAKING NEWS:Manchester United and Everton have reached a £65 million agreement to purchase Everton teenager Jarrad Branthwaite. Branthwaite has been United’s primary defensive target, with Everton under pressure to sell their star youth owing to continuous financial difficulties. All paperwork and signing will take place next week, but this is a done deal. Manchester United AGREES agreement as club closes in on massive £70 million transfer.

Manchester United have successfully negotiated personal terms with Jarrad Branthwaite and are set to make an official bid for the Everton defender this summer.

Branthwaite has become United’s top defensive target, particularly as Everton faces financial challenges that might necessitate the sale of their valuable player.

Everton has reportedly priced Branthwaite at £70 million (€83 million). United plans to start fee negotiations after securing a contract with the 21-year-old, worth between £150,000 to £160,000 per week, according to The Times.

United’s transfer plans have gained momentum after confirming Erik ten Hag will remain as manager for the upcoming season, following an end-of-season review.

The club has been particularly impressed with Branthwaite, who, at 6 feet 5 inches, played a pivotal role in Everton’s defense, which conceded the fourth-fewest goals last season. Despite this, the transfer process is expected to be complicated and may extend throughout the summer, as reported by NPE omeganews.

In addition to pursuing Branthwaite, United is looking to strengthen their defense with another center-back. This need arises after Raphael Varane’s departure on a free transfer and the uncertain future of Harry Maguire.

Jonny Evans is also out of contract. United and Liverpool have both expressed interest in Lille’s Leny Yoro, although Real Madrid is currently leading the race for the 18-year-old.

Jean-Clair Todibo and Matthijs de Ligt are also being considered by United as right-footed center-back options, with Branthwaite seen as the prime candidate to challenge Lisandro Martinez for the left-center back position.
