TRANSFER BATTLE: “He Goes Nowhere; Even £200 million Cannot Sign Him” Arteta warns Real Madrid against losing their star player as Ancelotti seeks to sign Arsenal’s best player.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has issued a strong warning to Real Madrid regarding William Saliba, as the Gunners aim to build on their previous season’s near-miss in the Premier League. Arteta is keen on enhancing his squad’s quality rather than selling one of their key assets.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is also looking to strengthen their central defense this summer, with several defenders on their radar.

LOSC Lille’s Leny Yoro is the top target, but Yoro prefers a move to Real Madrid. Consequently, PSG needs to explore other options.

Real Madrid’s interest in Yoro hinges on meeting Lille’s valuation, but if Lille remains firm, the Spanish club might consider other center-back alternatives.

Both Real Madrid and PSG are reportedly interested in Arsenal’s William Saliba during this transfer window. However, Arsenal has made it clear that Saliba is not for sale.

Saliba has delivered outstanding performances for Arsenal in recent years, making it highly unlikely that the north London club would consider selling him, especially after he signed a new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal, under Arteta’s guidance, came very close to winning the league last season. They believe a successful transfer window this summer could help them bridge the gap and compete for the title in the 2024-25 season.

Saliba aligns with PSG’s criteria for a central defender—young and French. However, there is a potential complication: Saliba’s past association with Olympique de Marseille could deter PSG from pursuing him seriously, especially given the turbulent experience with Christophe Galtier, who also had Marseille links. This history might make PSG cautious about rekindling such drama.
