Reports suggest that Erling Haaland is particularly impressed by a talented player whom Manchester City is eager to sign, as the club aims to outmaneuver Real Madrid in the pursuit of his services. Despite having one of the strongest squads in Europe, City is already looking ahead to potential summer signings, anticipating changes at the Etihad Stadium, with several players rumoured to be leaving.
One player on their radar is Lucas Paqueta, the Brazilian midfielder from West Ham. Paqueta nearly joined City last summer, but the deal collapsed due to betting-related suspicions. However, City’s interest in him remains strong, and Paqueta would likely welcome the chance to join the reigning Premier League champions.
Another player attracting attention is Savio, a 19-year-old forward currently on loan at Girona from Troyes in La Liga. Savio has had an impressive season, scoring five goals and providing seven assists, which has raised expectations of a summer move to Manchester City. Meanwhile, speculation surrounds the future of goalkeeper Ederson, one of the key players yet to renew his contract with City, although the club is keen on extending his stay.
Manchester City is also reportedly preparing a bid for Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi. City aims to beat Real Madrid in the race for Hakimi, who is considered one of the top players in his position.
Hakimi, who earns £239,000 per week, was previously viewed as a potential replacement for Kyle Walker last summer. With Hakimi possibly on his way out of PSG, Manchester City is positioning itself as a strong contender to secure his signature during the summer transfer window.
