BREAKING NEWS: Arsenal is now actively involved in the transfer race, negotiating with Brentford to intercept Ivan Toney’s move to the Saudi league. The Gunners are reportedly offering £25 million plus Gabriel Jesus to secure the deal.

Arsenal are reportedly considering a surprising move for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman. According to Football Insider, the Gunners are interested in securing the French international on a season-long loan.

Bayern Munich seems open to letting Coman leave the Allianz Arena this summer but would want the loan deal to include either an option or an obligation for Arsenal to buy the player afterward.

Sources indicate that Coman, who is 28 years old, would be open to joining Arsenal but would need reassurances about his playing time at the club. The winger is just one of several wide forwards that Arsenal are currently monitoring, as manager Mikel Arteta aims to strengthen his squad and provide cover for Bukayo Saka, who is the current first-choice in the right-wing position.

Coman’s availability has attracted attention from various clubs across Europe, with many now reportedly keeping a close watch on his situation as the transfer window progresses. If Arsenal is serious about acquiring Coman, they may face stiff competition from some of the continent’s top clubs.

According to the report, Bayern Munich would want a fee between €30-40 million (£25.6-34.2 million) for a permanent transfer, either as part of an option or obligation to buy after the loan.

Coman joined Bayern Munich from Juventus in 2017, following a two-year loan spell at the German club. Over the years, he has made nearly 300 appearances for Bayern, scoring 63 goals and providing 66 assists. His trophy collection includes a Champions League title, a Club World Cup medal, and 26 domestic trophies from his time in Germany, Italy, and France.

If Coman were to join Arsenal, he would bring a wealth of experience to the young squad at the Emirates Stadium. However, concerns about playing time might deter the former PSG star from making the move, especially given Bukayo Saka’s stronghold on the right-wing position.

Coman only made 27 appearances last season, and if regular game time is a priority for him, Arsenal may not be his preferred destination despite their interest.
