Manchester United has already parted ways with one winger, Mason Greenwood, and now reports suggest they are preparing to sell another.
According to Football Insider, the club is open to a substantial offer for Jadon Sancho in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Sancho, who joined United from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million, has struggled to justify that hefty price tag. His relationship with manager Erik ten Hag deteriorated last season, leading to his loan back to Dortmund, where he played a key role in helping the team reach the UEFA Champions League final.
Upon returning this summer, Sancho was reintegrated into the squad and participated in several pre-season matches for the 20-time English champions.
He was brought on as a substitute during the Community Shield match against Manchester City, which ended in a 1-1 draw. During the ensuing penalty shootout, Sancho missed his attempt, contributing to United’s eventual loss.
Football Insider reports that Manchester United is now considering accepting a significant bid for the 24-year-old winger, who has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain. The Mirror previously reported that the club is looking for around £40 million for Sancho’s departure, and PSG is reportedly prepared to meet that asking price.
As speculation mounts about Sancho’s future, the question arises: Should Erik ten Hag allow Jadon Sancho to leave permanently if United receives a £40 million bid?
