We need to step up and make corrections because we’re making a lot of mistakes. I’m angry, but we have another match on Tuesday, and we must bounce back.”
Raphinha, who scored Barcelona’s lone goal in the match, downplayed his individual achievement, stating, “I don’t care about my goal; I care about the victory.” His remarks reflected a broader frustration with the team’s inability to secure results.
Additionally, he criticized Las Palmas’ time-wasting tactics during the game but refrained from elaborating further to avoid potential disciplinary action.
Barcelona’s next challenge is an away fixture against RCD Mallorca on Tuesday night, as La Liga enters a midweek round. By then, their lead over rivals Real Madrid could shrink to just a single point, with Madrid hosting Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.
Despite Barcelona’s underwhelming overall display, Raphinha was surprisingly named Player of the Match, though many felt players from Las Palmas deserved the honor more for their spirited performance.
