Newcastle United are expected to reject any bids for their star striker, Alexander Isak, during the summer transfer window, regardless of their Champions League qualification status.
Reports suggest that the Swedish forward has caught the attention of FC Barcelona, who are searching for a long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski. However, Newcastle are determined to hold on to their key player and have no intention of negotiating his departure.
The Magpies have struggled to maintain their early-season momentum and have slipped to seventh place in the Premier League standings after losing three of their last four matches.
Missing out on Champions League qualification would be a financial blow, but the club remains in a strong position concerning Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules. As a result, Newcastle do not feel compelled to sell any of their top players, including Isak.
