A major shockwave hits Catalonia as an earthquake strikes! “Sport” newspaper drops the bombshell of the season, unveiling a huge twist: Barcelona has one condition for Neymar to join them in the upcoming transfer window!

The Catalan newspaper Sport has reported that Neymar Jr., the Brazilian football star, has been given a final deadline by Barcelona officials regarding the possibility of his return to the club.

Amid ongoing speculation about a potential re-signing, Neymar has expressed a strong desire to rejoin Barcelona during the upcoming summer transfer window. He is reportedly willing to accept a reduced salary as he prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to Sport, a media outlet known for its close ties to Barcelona’s management, the club has communicated a clear condition to Neymar. The message reportedly sent to the player states: “Score 15 goals with Santos first, and then we will consider signing you.” This condition must be met before any further negotiations can take place.

The report also highlights that Barcelona’s new coach, Hansi Flick, has authorized the club’s sporting director, Deco, to engage with Neymar.

However, this approval is contingent on Neymar fulfilling the club’s request of scoring 15 goals for Santos before the end of the current season. This stipulation is seen as a way to assess Neymar’s fitness and form, given his history of injuries in recent years.

Neymar made a return to his boyhood club, Santos, in January following a brief spell with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, where he struggled with multiple injuries.

The 33-year-old forward previously enjoyed great success at Barcelona, notably winning the UEFA Champions League with the club in 2015. However, in 2017, he made a record-breaking move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a staggering €222 million, which remains the highest transfer fee in football history.

Since his return to Santos, Neymar has played seven matches and managed to score three goals. His current contract with the Brazilian club is set to expire in June, making him available for a potential transfer in the upcoming window.

Barcelona’s demand for Neymar to prove himself at Santos signals their cautious approach toward re-signing him, considering his recent injury struggles and the financial constraints the club faces.

If Neymar successfully meets the 15-goal target, discussions about his potential comeback to Camp Nou could move forward. However, until then, the possibility of his return remains uncertain, pending his performance in Brazil.
