Additionally, Real Madrid’s Rodrygo has emerged as a potential signing for the wing. The Brazilian isn’t the only wide player being monitored, as AC Milan’s Rafael Leao is also high on the shortlist. Reports from Foot Mercato indicate that Andrea Berta personally reached out to Leao recently to confirm Arsenal’s interest.

However, financial limitations mean the club will need to be careful with their spending. With several positions needing upgrades, meeting Leao’s reported £145 million release clause would be a stretch.

In terms of comparing targets, Rodrygo has been an explosive performer, tallying 50 goals since the 2022/23 season. Some believe he could become a top-tier star if given a leading role elsewhere.

On the other hand, Leao, often likened to a young Thierry Henry for his pace and flair on the left wing, has netted 43 goals during the same period. The club must now decide who represents the better long-term fit as they aim to strengthen for a title push next season.
