Transfer News LIVE: Late Drama Shakes Up the Summer Market

As the transfer deadline looms, the window has erupted with fresh twists involving Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United, ensuring another frantic finale to the summer market.

Arsenal swoop for Eze after Spurs agreement

Arsenal have reignited their attacking search after Kai Havertz sustained a knee injury, and in a bold move, they have intercepted Tottenham’s pursuit of Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze.

Spurs had reportedly reached agreements with both Palace and the player, but the Gunners struck late, persuading the England international to commit to their project instead.

Palace boss Oliver Glasner confirmed Eze will still line up in the Conference League play-off against Fredrikstad, with a medical in North London scheduled for Friday.

Liverpool press for record-breaking Isak deal

Liverpool’s striking ambitions are focused firmly on Newcastle’s Alexander Isak. Reports claim the Merseyside club are preparing a £130 million proposal—£20m higher than their initial approach.

There are suggestions Harvey Elliott could even be included as part of a package. While Isak remains their main priority, the Reds also maintain an interest in Palace defender Marc Guehi, though the Eagles are reluctant to part with another star.

Newcastle and Villa monitor Jackson amid Wissa chase

Newcastle, who recently saw a £35m plus add-ons bid for Yoane Wissa turned down by Brentford, are also assessing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.

Aston Villa share that interest, and Chelsea could sanction a departure to raise funds for potential moves for Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons.

Meanwhile, there is speculation Christopher Nkunku may return to RB Leipzig.

Rabiot offered to United

Over in France, unrest at Marseille has left Adrien Rabiot on the transfer list following a breakdown in relations within the squad.

His representatives are now testing the market, with Manchester United named among the potential destinations, though formal negotiations are yet to begin.

Chelsea’s clear-out continues

At Stamford Bridge, the exodus of talent rolls on. Renato Veiga is heading to Villarreal for €30m, making him the Spanish side’s record signing.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who only arrived last summer, never cemented a role and becomes Chelsea’s 11th senior departure of the window.

Fulham weigh up options

Elsewhere, Fulham are juggling interest in young winger Martial Godo from Coventry City and considering a move for Shakhtar’s Brazilian prospect Kevin. Contract discussions with Rodrigo Muniz are set to resume once transfer business is settled.

In short: Arsenal hijack Spurs’ Eze deal, Liverpool chase Isak with a record bid, Newcastle hit resistance for Wissa, and Chelsea’s squad overhaul shows no signs of slowing.
