Robert Lewandowski’s contract with Barcelona will expire at the conclusion of the current season, and multiple reports indicate that the club has no plans to extend it.
This situation casts doubt on the future of Barcelona’s attacking setup, as the Polish veteran has recently been displaced from the starting lineup by Ferran Torres.
With Lewandowski potentially leaving — and even considering retirement — the pressure mounts on Barcelona’s management and coaching staff to find a suitable replacement capable of leading the front line.

Reports from Germany suggest that Barcelona has already identified a key target. Head coach Hansi Flick has reportedly recommended Borussia Dortmund’s star striker Serhou Guirassy as the ideal addition.

In contrast, Álvarez’s case is even more complex. Now playing for Atlético Madrid after a big-money transfer, the Argentine forward is considered an essential part of their squad, and the club appears unwilling to consider any offers unless circumstances dramatically change.
