The match, which sees Barcelona taking on Athletic Bilbao in the last round of the La Liga season at San Mamés Stadium, holds little significance in terms of league standings, as Barcelona had already secured the title earlier by defeating Espanyol in Round 36.

Once this final fixture is concluded, Barcelona’s players will head into a six-week summer break. Meanwhile, newly appointed head coach Hansi Flick is expected to stay behind in the city.

Flick, along with the club’s sporting director Deco and president Joan Laporta, will continue strategizing over transfer market moves intended to strengthen the team’s roster ahead of the upcoming campaign.
