Among the names considered was Julián Álvarez of Atlético Madrid, but the club has ultimately concluded that pursuing such a deal is unrealistic at this stage.

In this context, Panichelli has emerged as a viable alternative. Currently playing for RC Strasbourg, the 23-year-old striker has caught the attention of Barcelona’s recruitment team. His ability to hold up play and convert chances efficiently makes him an appealing option as the team looks to add depth and variety to its attack.
Financially, Panichelli represents a far more attainable target. With an estimated transfer value of around €25 million, the deal is considered manageable within Barcelona’s current budget constraints. Beyond affordability, the club’s leadership also believes he has significant room for development. They see him not just as a short-term solution, but as a player who could evolve into a key figure in the squad over time.
