Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko has openly voiced his desire for the club to secure the signings of his Ukraine international teammates, Heorhiy Sudakov and Mykola Matviyenko, with the aim of bolstering their chances in the race for the Premier League title this season.
Zinchenko, who made the move to Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer of 2022, deems Sudakov and Matviyenko as pivotal additions to the squad. The 21-year-old midfielder, Sudakov, currently with Shakhtar Donetsk, has captured Zinchenko’s attention. In response to inquiries about Sudakov’s potential move in the January transfer window, Zinchenko expressed his wish for the midfielder to join Arsenal.
Sudakov, already capped 12 times for Ukraine, is considered a significant talent with a playing style likened to Tottenham’s James Maddison. His abilities have attracted interest from top clubs, including Arsenal, Juventus, Manchester City, and Chelsea.
Zinchenko also advocates for the addition of Mykola Matviyenko, a versatile 27-year-old defender capable of playing as a center-back or left-back. Matviyenko, who has spent his entire professional career with Shakhtar Donetsk and earned 61 caps for Ukraine, was previously linked with Arsenal in January 2020.
While Sudakov is seen as a valuable asset for Arsenal’s midfield, Matviyenko is regarded as a versatile defensive option capable of enhancing the team’s solidity. Zinchenko believes that securing these two Ukrainian talents could position Arsenal as strong contenders for the Premier League title, surpassing challenges posed by Manchester City and Liverpool.
In other transfer news, there are reports of Crystal Palace’s Rob Holding, who left Arsenal for Crystal Palace in the summer of 2023, potentially making another move. Bournemouth has expressed interest in the defender, indicating the possibility of Holding making another transfer shortly after joining Crystal Palace. As the transfer speculation unfolds, Arsenal fans eagerly await developments to see if Zinchenko’s desired additions will materialize and contribute to the team’s pursuit of Premier League glory.
