Arsenal have named an unchanged lineup for their crucial Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium, with Ben White once again unavailable. White has been sidelined for the last two matches due to a groin injury and did not participate in the team’s training session on Monday. As a result, Jurrien Timber continues to fill in at right-back, while Riccardo Calafiori retains his place at left-back.
There had been some concerns over Calafiori’s fitness after he appeared to tweak his hamstring in the final stages of Arsenal’s weekend victory over Leicester. However, the left-back was able to train on Monday and is fit to start the game.
Mikel Arteta’s decision to keep the same lineup means that Gabriel Jesus will remain on the bench, despite having started in Arsenal’s previous Champions League match against Atalanta.
Meanwhile, the team is still dealing with several key injuries. Club captain Martin Odegaard is sidelined with an ankle injury, while Oleksandr Zinchenko is unavailable due to a calf problem, and Kieran Tierney is out with a hamstring injury.
In goal, young talent Tommy Setford is also missing due to a hip injury. His absence allows 16-year-old Jack Porter to take a spot on the bench. Additionally, new signing Mikel Merino has been named among the substitutes and could make his debut for the Gunners during the match.
