Manchester United is enduring one of its worst starts to a Premier League season, currently positioned in 14th place. This poor performance has put manager Erik ten Hag’s job at serious risk, with speculation mounting about his potential replacement.
Thomas Tuchel, who became available after leaving Bayern Munich earlier this year, has emerged as a strong candidate to take over the managerial role at Old Trafford.
According to reports from Fichajes, Tuchel has already identified possible transfer targets if he becomes Manchester United’s manager, with Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo at the top of his list.
The Uruguayan defender is highly valued for his speed and physicality, attributes that would help address United’s defensive struggles this season. Araujo, who is currently recovering from a hamstring injury, is expected to be fit by late November, making him available for transfer discussions in January.
