Chelsea is on the verge of finalizing their third summer signing after reaching an agreement with a striker who scored just 33 seconds into his debut. Spanish and English media report that Chelsea plans to make a significant investment in another teenage player.
According to The Sun, Chelsea is poised to activate the release clause of Marc Guiu, an 18-year-old Barcelona forward. Guiu made a notable debut last season, scoring 33 seconds after being introduced and netting two goals in seven appearances.
Chelsea aims to strengthen their attacking options for new manager Enzo Maresca, particularly after the departure of Mauricio Pochettino left Nicolas Jackson as their sole striker in the latter half of the season.
The Sun further reports that under Barcelona’s new manager, Hansi Flick, Guiu may not receive adequate playing time.
