Estevao Willian, a promising talent from Palmeiras in Brazil, has been signed by Chelsea.
The club announced today that Willian, who will turn 18 in 2025, is set to officially join Chelsea.
Neymar has spoken highly of the young player, predicting a bright future for him. “Future star? I think Estevao of Palmeiras is a big talent that is surging in Brazilian football,” Neymar said in an interview with TNT, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. “I think he will be a genius!”
Estevao Willian has also received significant praise from Branco, a World Cup winner, who considers him the best Brazilian-born player since Neymar.
Branco shared his thoughts with Canal WAMO, expressing great optimism about Brazil’s upcoming generation of footballers. “It’s been a long time since we’ve had these kids there and Brazil has a spectacular generation,” Branco said. “Brazil for 2026 will arrive very strong, they’ll arrive with strength, speed, and quality.
“Estevao Willian, for me, with all due respect to the others, this is something serious, something that I’ve never said and I’m going to say – since Neymar, he is the greatest player I’ve seen born in Brazil.
This is my opinion, you’ve seen him close, you know. This is Brazil, they’re all spectacular but this boy, his ceiling is a bit higher.”
