Arsenal is actively searching for a new striker this summer, aiming to build a squad strong enough to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title.
TEAMtalk has confirmed that Arsenal has made a significant offer for a top striking target and is also nearing the departure of a well-liked squad member.
Benjamin Sesko, a player highly regarded by the club, has received an offer from Arsenal, which they believe will persuade him to choose them over their rivals. Sesko is reportedly impressed by the project at the Emirates and is carefully considering all his options, with Chelsea also showing interest.
The 20-year-old Sesko joined Leipzig last summer and has scored an impressive 18 goals in 42 appearances for the German club. His potential arrival at Arsenal would likely diminish Eddie Nketiah’s chances of securing a starting position, leading to his expected departure this summer. TEAMtalk reports that Nketiah has garnered significant interest from several Premier League clubs, including Wolves and Crystal Palace, who are both keen on acquiring him.
However, Fulham is currently leading the race to sign Nketiah. TEAMtalk confirms that Fulham has made Nketiah a top priority in their summer transfer plans. Negotiations are ongoing, and an official offer is being prepared for the Arsenal striker.
Marco Silva and his team at Fulham are trying to convince Nketiah that he would be their starting striker, aiming to have him lead their attack in the upcoming season.
Nketiah is considering his options, recognizing the need for a move to advance his career despite his strong relationship with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
Arteta values Nketiah and would welcome him staying with the squad but has made it clear that Nketiah will not be the main striker for Arsenal.
Additionally, Everton has shown interest in Nketiah, but no significant progress has been made due to the club’s current uncertainties surrounding ownership and the potential departure of key players.
