**Bernardo Silva – Keep**
Each summer, rumors circulate about Bernardo Silva’s future, typically linking him to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. This year follows the same pattern.
There’s talk of a release clause, and if Barcelona weren’t financially constrained, Silva would likely have signed with them by now. Manchester City probably wouldn’t hinder Silva’s career progression if they could secure the necessary funds. Nonetheless, Silva is an exceptionally important and talented player for City, making his sale highly discouraged.
**Phil Foden – Keep**
The notion of the Premier League Player of the Season leaving Manchester City is absolutely out of the question.
**Jack Grealish – Sell**
Pep Guardiola has brought in Jeremy Doku and Savio, likely to fill the creative left-wing role that Jack Grealish was expected to occupy following his £100 million move from Aston Villa in 2021. Instead, Guardiola has reined in the England international, transforming him from the inventive, risk-taking winger admired at his previous club into a more system-focused player.
Grealish, once a fan favorite for England, was notably left out of Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad, puzzling many. His absence likely disappointed his family, friends, and supporters.
It appears that Grealish is ready to leave Manchester City and seek new opportunities. Although he has been integral to the team’s success, including their Treble win in the 2022/23 season, the timing seems right for a move. Grealish has the talent to join any Premier League starting lineup.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Doku, known for his dribbling skills, had a challenging first year at Manchester but is clearly a promising young talent.
**Julian Alvarez – Keep**
There has been considerable speculation about World Cup winner Julian Alvarez’s future, and understandably, Manchester City is keen to keep him. Alvarez, like Gabriel Jesus before him, desires to be a leading player, which is challenging with Erling Haaland as a teammate.
Despite his ambitions, Alvarez still made 54 appearances across all competitions last season, including a crucial stint when Kevin De Bruyne was injured from August to January. During this period, Alvarez excelled, even taking on set-piece duties. He started 39 of his 54 matches, with 31 in the Premier League.
Recent rumors have quieted, indicating that Alvarez is likely to stay at City, which is beneficial for both the player and the club.
