Kevin De Bruyne, the influential playmaker for Manchester City, has chosen to reject a highly lucrative offer of £1 million per week from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.
Despite the attractive financial terms, De Bruyne decided to remain with the Premier League champions after careful consideration with his family.
Laurent Blanc, the manager of Al-Ittihad, had been optimistic about securing De Bruyne’s signature, but the player prioritized his family’s well-being over the move.
According to a report by the UK Mirror, De Bruyne was concerned about the potential disruption to his family life, particularly regarding the education of his eldest son, Mason Milian.
These family considerations played a significant role in his decision to stay with Manchester City for at least another season. Currently 33 years old, De Bruyne is in the final year of his contract with the club.
