BREAKING NEWS:Manchester United has finalized the signing of a 23-year-old superstar who gave Messi a tough time in the recent World Cup. Paperwork is complete, with a medical scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Manchester United, known as the Red Devils, are not done with their transfer activities yet. They are reportedly looking to strengthen their midfield and are expected to bring in a talented player to Old Trafford soon.

According to a recent report from Sport, the club is making significant financial investments in the transfer market to enhance their squad for the upcoming season and compete for major titles.

Despite their ambitions, United won’t be participating in the UEFA Champions League this season, having finished eighth in the Premier League and at the bottom of their UCL group last term. However, the club has already made notable moves in the transfer market. Manager Erik ten Hag has signed Joshua Zirkzee to bolster the attacking lineup, replacing Anthony Martial.

Additionally, the club has acquired Leny Yoro from Lille to strengthen the defense, following the departure of four-time Champions League winner Raphael Varane.

After securing Yoro, the next expected arrival at Old Trafford is Manuel Ugarte. The Spanish publication, Sport, reports that the Uruguayan midfielder fits the profile Man United is looking for.

They state that Ugarte’s transfer could cost around 70 million euros (approximately £58.9 million). It’s noted that Ugarte has already agreed to personal terms, and Manchester United is close to reaching an agreement with PSG for the transfer.

For a team aiming to compete at the highest level, having a top-quality defensive midfielder is crucial. The current top teams in England, Manchester City and Arsenal, have some of the best defensive midfielders in the world, such as Rodri and Declan Rice.

The question now is whether Manchester United should secure the signing of Ugarte to strengthen their midfield and increase their competitiveness for the upcoming season.
