BREAKING NEWS:Martin Ødegaard warns that if Arsenal fails to win a trophy next season, it shouldn’t be held against them. He suggests that to secure a trophy, the team needs to sign a specific player, identifying the one position where Arsenal currently lacks a suitable player.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in discussions to sign Santiago Giménez from Feyenoord this summer, but they face stiff competition from Arsenal, according to Mexican outlet Fox Sports.

Tottenham have already secured the services of Archie Gray from Leeds United to strengthen their midfield and are close to finalizing a deal for South Korean prospect Min-Hyuk Yang, although Yang is not expected to join the first team next season.

Tottenham’s new manager, Ange Postecoglou, is keen to make further additions to the squad, with a particular focus on bolstering the attack. The club has been linked with several potential signings, including Jonathan David and Ivan Toney, and now Giménez has emerged as a target.

Fox Sports reports that both Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in the Mexican forward, but they will have to compete with other top clubs like Juventus, AC Milan, RB Leipzig, and Atletico Madrid.

As of now, neither Tottenham nor Arsenal has made a formal bid for Giménez. However, the player’s agent and father are expected to travel to Europe soon to discuss potential deals with interested clubs. Giménez, who has recently returned to pre-season training with Feyenoord after participating in the Copa America, could be set for a move this summer.

The 23-year-old striker is valued at around £34 million by Transfermarkt and has four years remaining on his contract, giving Feyenoord a strong negotiating position to demand a significant transfer fee.

Giménez had an impressive season last year, scoring 23 goals and providing six assists in 30 Eredivisie matches. His performance has attracted interest from several top clubs, and he could prove to be a valuable acquisition for either Arsenal or Tottenham.

The competition between the two North London rivals for Giménez’s signature adds an intriguing dimension to the transfer saga, as both clubs look to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season. It will be interesting to see which team ultimately secures the signing of the talented forward.
