MAJOR BREAKING: Before Submitting Their “HUGE BID” Arsenal Send Scouts To Watch £75M Striker One Last Time After Mikel Arteta Demanded Edu Sign Him Before Next Week

Arsenal recently sent scouts to observe Viktor Gyokeres, a 26-year-old Swedish striker, during Sporting Lisbon’s match against Athletic Bilbao at the Estádio José Alvalade. This scouting mission underscores Arsenal’s serious interest in Gyokeres as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

The Gunners, who have already secured David Raya and are close to signing Riccardo Calafiori, are now primarily focused on acquiring a new striker.

Arsenal has been monitoring Gyokeres throughout the summer, paying close attention to his recovery from a minor knee surgery he had at the end of the last season. The scouts’ presence at the game was intended to assess his current fitness and form. However, Arsenal faces stiff competition for Gyokeres from other major clubs.

Atletico Madrid is reportedly interested in the striker after missing out on Girona’s Artem Dovbyk, who transferred to Roma. Additionally, Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool are also keeping an eye on Gyokeres as they seek to bolster their attacking lines.

Gyokeres had an impressive season with Sporting Lisbon, scoring 43 goals and providing 15 assists, which significantly contributed to the team’s league title win. His standout performances have made him one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe this summer.

Although his release clause is set at £84 million, reports indicate that Sporting Lisbon might be willing to accept offers around £60 million.

Despite speculation suggesting that Arsenal was close to finalizing a deal for Gyokeres, recent updates have cast doubt on the progress of the negotiations.

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano clarified the situation, stating that while Arsenal had made contact with Gyokeres months ago, they are not currently in advanced negotiations.

Romano emphasized that the club is aware of the €100 million release clause and the overall cost of the deal, including the player’s salary and other factors.

As Arsenal continues to monitor Gyokeres, the club’s next steps remain uncertain amid the growing competition for the talented striker. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will intensify their efforts to secure Gyokeres or shift focus to other targets.
