Erling Haaland is reportedly impressed by a talented player whom Manchester City is determined to sign, as they aim to outmaneuver Real Madrid in the transfer market.
Despite already having one of Europe’s most formidable squads, Manchester City is planning ahead for the summer transfer window, anticipating potential departures from the Etihad Stadium, with several current players rumored to be on their way out.
Among the players City has shown interest in is Lucas Paqueta, a Brazilian midfielder currently with West Ham. Paqueta nearly joined Manchester City last summer, but the deal was halted due to concerns over betting allegations.
Nevertheless, City’s interest in Paqueta persists, and it’s likely that the player would be eager to join the Premier League champions if given the chance.
Another player who has caught City’s attention is Savio, a 19-year-old forward currently playing on loan at Girona from Troyes in La Liga. Savio has been impressive this season, recording five goals and seven assists, and his performances have raised expectations for a potential move to City in the summer.
Additionally, speculation surrounds Manchester City’s goalkeeper Ederson, who has yet to agree to a new contract. The club is keen on securing his future with an extension, as he remains a key player in their squad.
Manchester City is also reportedly preparing to make a move for Achraf Hakimi, a right-back currently with Paris Saint-Germain.
The club is looking to beat Real Madrid to Hakimi’s signature, with the player being considered as a potential replacement for Kyle Walker, whom City targeted last summer.
Hakimi, who earns £239,000 per week, may be leaving PSG, and Manchester City is emerging as a strong contender alongside Real Madrid in the race to secure the highly sought-after right-back during the upcoming transfer window.
