Reflecting on his return to his former club, Xhaka shared his thoughts with Bild, saying, “I had a wonderful time at Arsenal and still keep in daily contact with many of the players and staff. I remain in touch mainly with Thomas Partey, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Gabriel Jesus.

“When you play at a club for seven years, the return is always special. I’m looking forward to the game, a very strong opponent, an opponent that we also have to prepare for in the Champions League.”

From a Just Arsenal perspective, Xhaka was one of the key players in his final season at the Emirates. Many Arsenal fans are not surprised that he has quickly found success in Germany with Leverkusen.
