Fabrizio Romano, a well-respected Italian journalist, has reported that today is the crucial day for Manchester United to finalize the signings of Bayern Munich players Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
Romano confirmed on social media platform X that Monday is the decisive day for these transfers, stating that the plan is “100% confirmed.”
According to the latest information from The Daily Mail, Manchester United has reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to acquire both De Ligt and Mazraoui for a combined fee of £55.8 million.
The British news outlet indicated that the two players are expected to travel to Manchester today to complete their moves from the German champions to the Premier League side.
While the deal for De Ligt is anticipated to go smoothly, the situation surrounding Mazraoui’s transfer is more complex. His move to Manchester United is contingent on the departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Moroccan international is reportedly waiting for the finalization of Wan-Bissaka’s exit before he can join forces with Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
The Daily Mail further reports that United is currently working on an exit settlement for Wan-Bissaka, who had a medical scheduled with West Ham United yesterday. However, this medical was postponed and is now expected to take place today.
