BREAKING NEWS: Manchester City has received some very unfortunate news this evening. Arsenal might be awarded the EPL title after Manchester City was found to have violated 115 Premier League regulations. The Premier League giants are expected to face a 12-point deduction.

A recent poll revealed that an overwhelming majority of Manchester City supporters believe securing a new contract for Pep Guardiola should be the club’s top priority. Guardiola’s current contract is set to expire at the end of this season, and he has yet to sign a new deal. Since joining the club in 2016, Guardiola has won 18 major honors, including six Premier League titles.

The results of a post-transfer window poll conducted by the Manchester Evening News highlight the fans’ strong desire for Guardiola to stay. Out of 1,348 votes cast, 94% of respondents believe that extending Guardiola’s contract should be the club’s primary focus, even above renewing Kevin De Bruyne’s contract, which also expires next June.

The poll also shows that Guardiola’s popularity among City fans is remarkably high, with 93% of supporters reporting they are “extremely satisfied” with his leadership. An additional 4% said they are “satisfied” with his direction, leaving little room for dissatisfaction among the fanbase.

Regarding the club’s ownership, 83% of respondents expressed that they are “extremely pleased” with how Manchester City is being run, although a small minority of 5% reported that they are “not happy at all” with the current ownership.

Despite a relatively quiet summer transfer window, half of the poll’s respondents indicated they were “happy” with the club’s transfer activities, while 37% were “extremely delighted” with how the window turned out.

Looking ahead to this season, 83% of voters are confident that City will retain their Premier League title and secure a fifth consecutive championship. When asked about their main competitors, 50% of respondents identified Liverpool as the team they are most concerned about, while 42% named Arsenal.

Interestingly, the ongoing legal issues surrounding the 115 Premier League charges against Manchester City have not caused significant alarm among fans. Forty percent of respondents said they are “not frightened at all” by the accusations, while 44% admitted to being “slightly worried.” Only 16% of voters described themselves as “extremely worried” about the potential consequences.

City has strongly denied all allegations, but if they are found guilty, 45% of fans believe the club’s punishment will be a fine. Only 8% think Manchester City will be relegated from the Premier League as a result of the charges.
