BREAKING NEWS: Arsenal’s Sporting Director, Edu Gasper, has announced that a former striker is keen to return to the club this January. Edu stated that the player feels he can surpass Gabriel Jesus and is motivated to redefine his legacy at Arsenal.

Mika Biereth, currently a striker for Austrian side Sturm Graz, has expressed his openness to a future return to Arsenal, the club he left last summer. The 20-year-old Danish forward, who initially struggled to secure a spot in Arsenal’s first team, remains hopeful of one day playing for the Gunners again.

Biereth joined Arsenal from Fulham in 2021, but his time at the club did not unfold as planned. He found it difficult to break into Mikel Arteta’s squad, leading to several loan moves aimed at gaining more experience and game time.

These loan spells took him to RKC Waalwijk in the Netherlands and Motherwell in Scotland, where he developed further before securing a permanent move to Sturm Graz.

In a recent interview with TV2, Biereth reflected on his experiences at Sturm Graz and shared his goals. He expressed contentment with his current situation, saying, “Things are going well here; I have no complaints. I’m playing regularly and competing in the Champions League, where I’m eager to score my first goal.”

Despite his satisfaction at Sturm Graz, Biereth admitted that he would welcome a return to the Premier League and particularly to Arsenal if the opportunity presented itself.

However, his current focus is on maintaining his strong performances in Austria. “If I keep performing well and scoring, maybe an opportunity will arise. But right now, my priority is to excel at Sturm Graz. A return to Arsenal would be fantastic, but it’s not my immediate focus,” he noted.

Biereth’s ambition to return to Arsenal remains alive, though not an immediate priority. The possibility of his return is uncertain, given Arsenal’s current attacking options, including Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, and Leandro Trossard.

Mikel Arteta’s faith in these players meant Arsenal did not pursue a major striker signing in the last transfer window, despite links to players like Alexander Isak.

While Biereth’s future at Arsenal is unclear, continued strong performances at Sturm Graz could bring him back onto Arsenal’s radar. For now, his focus is on excelling in Austria and furthering his development as a player, with the hope that one day, he may return to North London.
