BREAKING NEWS: Former Manchester United midfielder and French international Paul Pogba has ended his contract with Juventus to sign with an unexpected Premier League team.

Paul Pogba has recently shut down rumors linking him to a potential transfer to Olympique Marseille, calling the speculation “not believable.” The 31-year-old French midfielder is currently serving a suspension due to a doping violation, which led to widespread speculation about his future, especially following a reduction in the length of his ban.

Pogba’s suspension occurred after he tested positive for testosterone early in the 2023–2024 season, casting a shadow over his career. Many questioned whether he would ever return to elite football.

However, after a successful appeal, the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced his suspension, allowing for the possibility of his return to the game by March 2025. This development reignited interest in Pogba’s future, with fans and analysts speculating about his next destination after such a long absence from football.

One prominent rumor suggested that Pogba was in talks with French club Olympique Marseille. The speculation intensified after former teammate Patrice Evra, Pogba’s close friend, made comments hinting at a possible move.

Evra, known for his charismatic personality, mentioned that he would recommend Pogba to Marseille’s sporting director, Medhi Benatia, a former teammate of both Pogba and Evra. These remarks sparked a media frenzy, with many assuming that a transfer was imminent.

However, in an interview with L’Equipe, Pogba addressed the rumors, laughing them off. He clarified that Evra’s comments were made in jest and that a move to Marseille was not plausible, as he is still under contract with Juventus until 2026. Despite the excitement generated by Evra’s playful remarks, Pogba firmly downplayed the possibility of joining the French club.

Despite his reduced suspension, Pogba’s future at Juventus remains uncertain. Since returning to the Italian side in 2022, his second stint has been marred by injuries and inconsistent form, which has prevented him from making a significant impact. Coupled with the doping scandal, his status at the club has become even more precarious.

There have been reports of ongoing discussions between Pogba’s representatives and Juventus about the possibility of mutually terminating his contract, which would allow him to explore new opportunities.

For now, a move to Marseille seems unlikely, and Pogba’s focus remains on his return to professional football, expected in March 2025. While his future at Juventus is uncertain, Pogba is determined to resume his career at the highest level, and fans eagerly await his next steps.
