I made the decision based on football. I joined a top German club with ambitions and a clear plan. The move was easier because we used to live nearby in Düsseldorf.”

Xhaka also highlighted the difference in pressure between Arsenal and Leverkusen. He noted that Leverkusen’s more peaceful environment allowed for focused work without the chaos of clubs under heavy media scrutiny. However, he emphasized that Leverkusen’s ambitions are just as high, and if the team stays grounded, they can achieve great things.
