BREAKING NEWS: Hansi Flick is reportedly furious with a Barcelona player over a controversial statement made following the Celta Vigo match. The German coach is concerned that the remark could spark conflict within the locker room, potentially causing division at a crucial point in the season!

Barcelona endured a frustrating evening at Balaídos as their promising performance crumbled late in the game, ending in a 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo in La Liga. Despite holding a 2-0 lead until the 84th minute, the Catalan side faltered dramatically after Marc Casado was shown a red card, conceding two quick goals in just two minutes.

Jules Koundé’s costly mistake opened the door for Celta Vigo’s comeback. The French defender misjudged a back pass to goalkeeper Iñaki Peña, gifting the opposition their first goal.

Koundé’s error sparked criticism from his teammate Gavi, who publicly called it a “stupid mistake” during a post-match interview. Gavi insisted the ball should have been cleared, further intensifying the fallout from the disappointing draw.

However, Gavi’s comments did not sit well within the Barcelona camp. According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, his remarks angered coach Hansi Flick, who reportedly addressed the issue in the locker room. Several players were also displeased, believing that publicly singling out Koundé was inappropriate.

The consensus among the team and staff was that individual errors should not be publicly criticized, as responsibility for such lapses is collective.

This match, part of La Liga’s 14th round, saw Barcelona narrowly escape a complete disaster but still lose valuable points. With this draw, Barça added just one point to their tally, bringing their total to 34 points.

Despite this setback, they remain atop the Spanish league table, having secured 11 wins, one draw, and two losses so far this season.

The late collapse exposed vulnerabilities within the squad and highlighted the importance of unity in facing challenges.

Barcelona’s inability to close out the match, compounded by internal discord over Gavi’s comments, serves as a cautionary tale for the team as they aim to maintain their dominance in La Liga. It underscores the need for composure, both on and off the pitch, to prevent similar outcomes in the future.
