BREAKING NEWS: “I was puzzled watching his performance yesterday and couldn’t understand why they keep benching him… If they don’t have plans for him, let him come to Man City and witness the magic,” Pep Guardiola remarked, expressing his surprise over Manchester United’s consistent decision to sideline a player who has proven to be their standout performer.

The Red Devils recently endured a rough patch, failing to secure wins in their last two league matches against West Ham United and Chelsea. However, they managed to regain momentum with an impressive victory over Leicester at Old Trafford, showcasing resilience and determination to bounce back.

This crucial win has positioned Manchester United just four points shy of the Champions League qualification spots. The team, now under the leadership of incoming manager Ruben Amorim, is motivated to narrow this gap further and solidify their standing in the league.

Bruno Fernandes played an instrumental role in the triumph, making decisive contributions to all three goals. Nevertheless, it was Amad Diallo who caught the eye on the right flank, delivering a performance that hinted at his potential to become a vital asset under Amorim’s management.

Amorim is known for favoring formations such as 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1, systems that often limit the number of attacking players but place an emphasis on having an additional center-back. This tactical shift may influence the composition of the attacking lineup.

Despite these potential changes, Diallo has a solid chance of securing a place in the starting lineup, either in his preferred role as a right winger or adapting as a right wing-back. His versatility could prove valuable in Amorim’s tactical setup.

Diallo’s contribution against Leicester included not only an assist but also impressive defensive work. The £37 million signing won 10 out of 14 duels, succeeded in all aerial challenges (2/2), and won both of his attempted tackles. His efforts extended to making seven recoveries and completing four take-ons, showcasing his all-around capabilities.

Such a comprehensive display should strengthen Diallo’s case for regular inclusion in the starting eleven. If he continues to deliver consistent performances, he could evolve into a crucial player under Amorim’s guidance, impacting both the offensive and defensive phases of the game.

Manchester United’s next Premier League encounter is set for November 24, following the international break. The team will travel to face Ipswich Town in what will mark Amorim’s debut on the touchline. United is expected to be favorites heading into this matchup, aiming to build on their recent success and set a positive tone for the new manager’s tenure.
