However, the shortcomings exposed in their attacking line during the Milan encounter have forced a significant rethink. The Catalan side came agonizingly close to securing a spot in the final, narrowly losing 4–3 after extra time.

Gyökeres, who has delivered an outstanding season in Portugal, offers the kind of strength, speed, and finishing prowess that makes him an ideal fit for Barcelona’s tactical demands under new manager Hansi Flick.
Gyökeres has been monitored by the club for several months, and though his €60 million release clause previously seemed beyond Barcelona’s financial reach, recent events may force a change in strategy.
