Paul Pogba has offered a major update regarding his future, disclosing that he has received several offers as he plans a return to one of Europe’s top leagues. The 31-year-old midfielder, known for his spells at Manchester United and Juventus, has been a free agent since November after parting ways with Juventus.
His exit followed an 18-month suspension imposed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport due to a doping violation.
Pogba, who last played in September 2023, will become eligible to resume professional football in March. Since January, he has had the freedom to enter discussions with potential new clubs.
During a recent conversation with popular Twitch streamer Amine, the French international confirmed that while multiple offers are on the table, his focus remains on joining a high-level club competing at the top of European football.
“There are offers out there — some are appealing, others not so much,” Pogba explained. “I’m not aiming to go play in Russia. Of course, we all dream of playing for the biggest clubs in the Champions League, but it’s not solely my decision. Talks are ongoing, and things are moving forward, but I can’t reveal much else for now.”
Despite hinting that an agreement could soon be reached, ESPN reports that negotiations are still progressing. However, it’s widely believed that Pogba’s offers have come from clubs within Europe’s most prestigious leagues, often referred to as the top five.
Elsewhere in the transfer market, Bayern Munich is reportedly targeting one of Hansi Flick’s standout players ahead of the next summer window. In England, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford continues to be the subject of transfer rumors, with fresh reports linking him to a possible move to Barcelona.
Arsenal has also been busy, having allegedly finalized a £60 million transfer for a promising South American talent. The player is expected to undergo medical checks and join the team for training later this week. Furthermore, Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins is rumored to be closing in on a significant switch to Arsenal.
The proposed deal is believed to be worth £60 million, with a substantial weekly wage of £350,000. Notably, Watkins has never suffered an injury in his career and had previously voiced his ambition to play for Arsenal back in 2020.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid is said to have agreed to a €102 million deal for Carlo Ancelotti’s priority signing, with the player expected to commit to a six-year contract. As the transfer window gathers momentum, more high-profile moves are anticipated across Europe’s biggest clubs.
