BREAKING NEWS:“It’s a dream come true for me… I’m thrilled to be called a Manchester United player,” said the club’s third transfer signing, expressing his excitement about joining the Reds.

Manchester United continue to show interest in signing RB Leipzig’s attacking midfielder Dani Olmo this summer, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The Red Devils have been monitoring the Spain international for some time, but they will face stiff competition from Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Manchester City if they decide to make a bid.

Barcelona has already made an offer of €40 million plus €20 million in add-ons for Olmo, but Leipzig rejected it, insisting on €60 million without add-ons for their star player.

The impressive 26-year-old played a key role for Spain as they won the 2024 European Championship, scoring three goals and providing two assists in six appearances.

Manchester United aims to further strengthen their attacking options following the addition of Netherlands international forward Joshua Zirkzee.

Olmo fits their criteria perfectly as he can play in various positions: central midfield, behind the striker, as a striker, and on the right wing.

Last season, the versatile Spaniard scored eight goals and provided five assists in 25 appearances, maintaining similar stats since the 2016-17 season.

Olmo has the potential to significantly boost Manchester United’s performance on the pitch. However, it remains uncertain whether they can secure his signature right now.

Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Manchester City, all of whom are playing in the Champions League next season and regularly contend for their respective league titles, might present a more appealing option for Olmo than Manchester United.
