Mika Biereth, a former Arsenal striker now playing for Austrian club Sturm Graz, has expressed his ambition to one day return to the Premier League and rejoin Arsenal.

In an interview with TV2, the 20-year-old Danish forward discussed his journey and future hopes, acknowledging that while his focus is currently on performing well for Sturm Graz, he still dreams of playing for the Gunners again.

Biereth originally joined Arsenal from Fulham in 2021 but struggled to break into Mikel Arteta’s first team, leading to several loan spells.

He had stints at RKC Waalwijk, Motherwell, and finally Sturm Graz, where his performances have impressed the Austrian club enough to make his transfer permanent. Despite his success in Austria, Biereth remains determined to eventually play in the Premier League once more, and specifically for Arsenal.

In his interview, Biereth reflected on his current situation, saying, “Things are going well at Sturm Graz. I play every week at a good level, and now we’re also competing in the Champions League, where I’m still waiting for my first goal.” While he is committed to excelling at Sturm Graz, he remains open to the idea of a return to Arsenal, stating, “A return to Arsenal would be fantastic, but it’s not something I’m focusing on at the moment.”

During his time at Arsenal, Biereth found it difficult to secure a regular spot in the lineup, often spending time on the bench or out on loan. Since his departure, there has been no indication that Arsenal is considering bringing him back, especially with Mikel Arteta’s confidence in the club’s current forward options.

Arsenal’s attacking lineup, featuring players like Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, and Leandro Trossard, has contributed to the team’s recent successes, reducing the need for reinforcements in the striker position.

However, despite Gabriel Jesus’ occasional fitness issues and inconsistent performances, Arsenal has not actively pursued a new striker.

While Biereth’s path back to the Emirates remains uncertain, strong performances at Sturm Graz, where he is now a regular starter and competing in the Champions League, could catch Arsenal’s attention once again. If he continues to impress, Biereth may yet have another chance to make an impact at Arsenal and fulfill his dream of playing in the Premier League.
